Visitors' Reception Centre
This beautiful area, which hoards historical treasures and gorgeous scenery, lies in the middle of the Province of Málaga, and it is surrounded by the Serranía de Ronda and Antequera. It separates the plains Campillos, Teba and Antequera in the northern part of the province from the Guadalhorce valley and the fields of Cámara in the south. Different nations have prospered throughout history at this place, which became rich in hydraulic structures and electricity sources especially in the last century. All of them are connected by the humble path called ‘El Caminito del Rey’ that goes along this natural spot - Desfiladero de los Gaitanes -, in an unbelievable way.
The visitors’ reception centre situated in the Puerto de las Atalayas is the start of El Caminito del rey. We will be able to park our vehicle, validate our ticket and receive the necessary information to visit the place that became such a hiking and active tourism symbol in Spain.

El "Caminito del Rey", ubicado en el Paraje Natural Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, se sitúa en el centro de la provincia de Málaga, a menos de 60 km de la capital, delimitado al norte por la Serranía de Ronda y los Llanos de Antequera y al sur por el valle del Guadalhorce y de la comarca histórica de Campo de Cámara.
