4G Coverage improves communications along the Caminito del Rey route

Vodafone improves the Internet connection so their users could have the highest download speed during their visit.

El Caminito del Rey Path has already got 4G coverage all along the path, which is why the visitors will enjoy more their visit and their communication will be improved.

Mr Elias Bendod announced this after the meeting with Diego Torrico, the Head of Corporate Segment for Public Administrations at Vodafone in Spain, and Manuel Aguilera Central Government Manager for Public Services in Eastern Andalusia.

Vodafone is the only Spanish telecommunications company which has offered the Internet connection to their clients with 2G and 3G coverage all along the route since the opening of El Caminito del Rey through the mobile phone devices in the area. The news is that, since few months ago, there has also been 4G coverage as the answer to the users' request, who tend to share their experience on social networks, uploading photos or videos of their visit to this natural beauty spot.

County Council President Bendodo informed that this measure improved the coverage and browsing speed thanks to the high-speed broadband connection all along the path, which also guarantees that phone calls will not be interrupted along the route.

Finally, the County Council President said that the refurbishment of this spot, which was carried out thanks to an investment of 5.5 million euros by the County Council, was a stimulus for this area, and it turned into a stable brand, and one of the biggest tourist attractions in the province.

By 2019, 2 million euros more will have been invested in projects related to this site, such as the new Visitor Centre and a car park, which are to be open at the end of the year. The beauty spot has received 600,000 visitors during the first two years after its opening.
